WHAT DO I DO i have tried everything to cycle my aquarium and nothing is working i have use bio spira …….?
and cycle and many other products in my ten gallon aquarium but the ammonia still gets toxic in a matter of days after it is removed if u know how to cycle a aquarium plz tell me nothing is working
and my fish are going to die
You have 2 choices at this point. You can take the fish back to the store and get started on a Fishless Cycle ( Google it, many good recipes ), or you must begin doing frequent water changes, 25% or so 2-3 times a day. This will help keep and the ammonia, and more importantly, the nitrites from reaching toxic levels. It will take a bit longer, but your tank WILL cycle, and you don’t have to lose fish to get through it. Just keep those ammonia and nitrite levels as low as possible. There will almost always be some present until nitrifying bacteria colonies get large enough to handle the bio-load. Also, stop feeding your fish. Period. Fish food and fish poop are the source of ammonia. Feed them every three days until ammonia and nitrites are at 0. Good luck and happy fish-watching.
